Site Services That Get Done

Reclaim & Run™
Forestry Mulching / Land Clearing

Cedar, mesquite, and heavy brush don't quit. Neither do we. We mulch and clear small cedars, saplings, and heavy brush — the kind that hides snakes, rodents, and everything else you don't want near your property. Forestry mulching grinds it into fine cover that helps slow regrowth, or we clear it right down to usable ground. You get your land back: open, walkable, and ready to fence, build, graze, or just enjoy. Per-acre pricing is a guide — every job is quoted as a whole after we see it. Minimum job price applies.

Pasture Ready™
Brush / Field Cutting

Overgrown pasture and fence lines don't just look bad — they hide snakes, choke out grass, and shrink the land you can actually use. We knock down brush, tall grass, saplings, and overgrowth fast, opening your field back up so it's walkable, grazeable, and maintained. Faster and more affordable than full mulching when you just need it cut down and cleared out. Per-acre pricing is a guide — every job is quoted as a whole after we see it. Minimum job price applies.

Gone for Good™
Stump Grinding

A leftover stump is more than an eyesore — it's a tripping hazard, a mower-killer, and a home for termites and rot. We grind stumps down below ground level so the problem is gone for good, not just cut flush. Whether it's left over from a clearing job or an old tree that came down years ago, we'll grind it out and leave you clean ground you can mow, plant, or build over. Quoted by stump size and count.

Trail Blazed™
Trail Cutting

Can't get to the back of your own property? We cut clean, usable trails through cedar, brush, and overgrowth — for hunting access, ranch roads, ATV paths, or just getting where you need to go. Ten feet wide, cleared and passable, opening up land that's been locked behind the brush line for years. Priced by trail length and difficulty.

The Road Ready Package™
Gravel Driveway Repair & Install

A washed-out driveway beats up your vehicles and tells everyone your property isn't maintained. We bring in base prep, grading, and fresh gravel — then crown it and compact it so the water runs off instead of cutting ruts. You get a driveway that holds up, sheds rain, and makes the whole property look cared for. Quoted by the job.

The Grade & Go Package™
Site Prep & Grading

Got a building pad, outbuilding site, or pasture that needs to be shaped and ready? We move dirt, level ground, and get your site prepared right the first time. You get level, compacted, build-ready ground that drains the way it should — so whatever comes next sits on a solid foundation. Quoted by scope after site visit.

Built on Dependability

Too many homeowners have been burned by unreliable contractors. CHEW was built to change that.

Central Texas property owners shouldn't have to chase down contractors, wonder if they're showing up, or get surprise invoices. We built CHEW around one principle: if we say we're coming, we're coming — and the work gets done right the first time.

How CHEW Got Started

You know the feeling. You look out across your own property and can't even walk it anymore. Cedar and brush crept in a little at a time, and now it's a wall — choking out the grass, swallowing fence lines, hiding snakes and whatever else you'd rather not think about. Land you're paying taxes on every year, and you can't graze it, build on it, hunt it, or even get to the back of it.

I know that feeling because it was my place. I'm a Central Texas landowner. I watched good acreage go from open to unusable faster than you'd believe — cedar doesn't ask permission, and it doesn't quit. I let it slide too long, same as anybody. And the longer it sat, the bigger the job got.

Here's what that taught me: land is like anything else you own. Ignore it long enough and it costs you more than it ever should have.

So I quit waiting on somebody else. I bought a skid steer, ran the mulcher, and took my place back — turned a tangled mess back into open, usable ground. Then a friend asked for help with their place. Then a neighbor. Turns out I love this work — there's nothing like watching a property go from a brush pile to land you'd be proud to stand on. When I retired, CHEW wasn't a question. It was the obvious next move.

But there was a second reason, and it's the one that really lit the fire.

I've hired a lot of contractors over the years. A few were great. Most were a headache. Late, if they showed at all. A few hours of work stretched into weeks. The job dragged, the price climbed, and more than once I was left with a half-finished mess after they'd cashed the check. I got sick of it. You probably have too.

I built CHEW to be the opposite of all that. I show up when I said I would. I clear it, mulch it, and leave the ground the way I'd want my own to look. I price the whole job, not the hour, so you're never watching the clock and wondering what it's going to cost you. And when something's not right — because nobody's flawless — I own it and I fix it on my dime, not yours.

That's the whole thing. Right equipment, right work ethic, and a man who treats your land like he treats his own.

One problem. One call. One solution. That's CHEW.

Why Choose CHEW?
Because we show up. That sounds simple until you've called three contractors who never called back, or watched someone take a deposit and disappear. I'm a Central Texas landowner, one of you, and I built CHEW because I got tired of the same bad experiences you've had. Right equipment, right work ethic, and a crew that's there when we said we'd be. We commit, we show, we do.
What Makes CHEW Different?
One call, one crew, one machine. Whether you need land cleared, brush mulched, a stump ground out, a trail cut, or a driveway fixed, we handle it start to finish. No surprises on the invoice. Just the work done right and the property left clean.

Services
What's the difference between brush clearing and forestry mulching?
Brush clearing knocks down and clears brush, saplings, and overgrowth — it's faster and more affordable. Forestry mulching fully grinds vegetation into fine mulch left on-site as ground cover, which gives a cleaner finish and helps slow regrowth. We'll recommend the right option based on your goals and the density of what's out there.
Can you clear brush and small trees?
Yes. We clear small cedars, saplings, heavy brush, and overgrowth. Large tree removal is outside our current scope and we'll tell you upfront.
What size trees can you clear?
We handle brush, saplings, and small to mid-size trees efficiently. Larger mature trees are outside our current scope, and we'll always tell you upfront during the site visit if something falls outside what we handle.
Will the brush grow back after clearing?
Cedar and brush are aggressive growers in Central Texas, so some regrowth is natural over time — no clearing method eliminates root systems completely. Forestry mulching tends to slow regrowth more than brush cutting alone. For properties that need ongoing upkeep, ask about our Clear & Keep maintenance plan.
Can you mow overgrown fields and pastures?
Yes. We have a mega mower capable of reclaiming overgrown fields, pastures, and heavily vegetated areas.
Can you grind stumps after a clearing job?
Normally, our forestry mulcher grinds vegetation down to ground level or even below as part of the clearing process. But if terrain conditions don't allow the mulcher to get a stump flush, we have a dedicated stump grinder to finish the job right. We also offer stump grinding as a standalone service — if your property already has old fallen trees or leftover stumps from before, we can come out and grind those down on their own, no full clearing job required.
Can you cut a trail through dense brush?
Yes. We cut and maintain trails for hunting, ranch access, ATV use, and general property navigation — even through heavy cedar and brush. Trails are priced by length and difficulty.
Can you work on hilly or sloped land?
Yes, within reason. Our equipment is built for varied Central Texas terrain, but very steep slopes carry safety limits we won't exceed. We'll evaluate your property's terrain during the site visit and let you know straight if any areas require a different approach.
Can you fix potholes and washouts?
Yes. We repair potholes, washouts, ruts, and related driveway damage. Many driveways can be restored by regrading existing material, saving you money on new gravel.
Can you deliver and spread material?
We arrange material delivery and handle all the spreading and grading with our equipment. You don't have to manage delivery logistics yourself — we take care of it.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Larger clearing jobs reduce our per-acre setup and mobilization costs, and we pass that savings on. Properties three acres and larger qualify for a reduced per-acre rate — ask for details when you request your estimate.
